GREEN TEA BEESWAX
Bryn Hill's beehives are surrounded by 35 acres of organically grown tea plants-Camellia sinensis. This provides our bees with a pristine environment in which to produce this rare honeycomb.
These beautiful beeswax bars are handcrafted from this green tea honeycomb, after the delicious honey has been cold pressed and removed from the comb. The resulting beeswax has a very light honey aroma and is a light yellow colour. It is naturally filtered through muslin to remove any hive impurities, ready to impart wonderful properties to your homemade products.
Limited quantity available each season.
RAINFOREST BEESWAX
We occasionally have rainforest beeswax bars available for our customers. This wax is collected from our bee hives which are located on the edge of the thousands of acres of World Heritage Rainforest that surrounds our tea. A healthy, clean environment for our bees to do their work.
Colour variations found in rainforest pollen results in the colour of these beeswax bars varying throughout the year.
SUN BLEACHED BEESWAX
These sun bleached beeswax bars appeal to those who prefer a lighter, more neutral colour in their homemade skin care products or natural candles, without the toxins present from chemical bleaching.
After the delicious honey has been cold pressed and removed from the comb, the resulting beeswax is naturally filtered several times to remove any impurities, then placed in the sun for several weeks to bleach it whiter. Although this is a more time consuming option than utilising the usual chemical bleaching methods, it results in a much healthier product.
Artists using beeswax for their encaustic projects often prefer the sun bleached, rather than natural, beeswax for combining with their colour pigments.
Note: although the sun bleached bars are a lot lighter in colour than the natural beeswax bars, they are not perfectly white like chemically bleached bars and still retain a mild beeswax aroma.

We manage our hives naturally. This means that we do not use any chemicals, pesticides, antibiotics or smoke that may leave residues in the wax, a definite plus for use in skincare products.
